The successful completion of the Structural exam is a prerequisite for engineers seeking to elevate their professional engineering category from “Practicing Engineer” to “Specialized Engineer”. This advancement is necessary to qualify for the position of Activity Owner at Engineering Consultancy firm, Ensures the high standards of engineering work, creating new opportunities for engineers, and advancing their professional development. Exam Qualification Criteria To be eligible for the Professional Engineer’s Qualification Exam, candidates must meet the following criteria: • Engineering License: Hold an engineering license issued by the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) in Abu Dhabi. • Work Experience: Have at least three years of relevant work experience. Notice: Engineers seeking to book the Structural Engineering Exam for Consultants must be currently registered in an engineering consultancy activity related to structural engineering. Registering for an exam that does not align with the current registered activity will result in ineligibility for upgrading their engineering category.

The Structural exam consists of 30 questions to be completed within one hour. It covers a wide range of engineering topics related to the engineer’s practical experience. To excel in this exam, it’s essential to reference the following materials:

The exam available to engineers with at least 3 years of experience and who have been registered for at least one year in the Engineering profession licensing system.
