Exam Qualification Criteria To be eligible for the Professional Engineer’s Qualification Exam, Candidates must meet the following criteria: Engineering License: Hold an engineering license issued by the Department of Municipalities and Transport (DMT) in Abu Dhabi. Work Experience: Have at least three years of work experience.

This exam is mandatory for engineers seeking to upgrade their engineering license from a practicing engineer to a specialized Engineer. It is available to engineers with a minimum of 3 years of experience.

The Exam retake policy allows each candidate only two attempts within a 30-day period. If both attempts are unsuccessful and occur within the 30-day timeframe, the candidate will enter a 30-day colling period, during which they cannot book any new exams. The cooling period begins from the date of the last unsuccessful attempt, after which the candidate may resume booking again.
